Applications we develop for clients are affordable because we use ultra-modern techniques to minimize development-manpower requirements. Our front-end and back-end codesets are both entirely in C#/Blazor and database-agnostic by design. Extensive code re-use means we have a treasure-chest of building-blocks to jump-start new projects.
Every client application we build embraces designated-user access to all data objects. No exceptions. Each and every form-entry is treated with strict zero-trust principles and sanitized before ever going into the database. Web-Assembly effectively obfuscates all code from prying eyes, so there's almost no attack-surface. Security is requirement #1.
A Unit-Testing and Functional Testing obsession underpins everything we do, from specification → code → documentation. This facilitates and encourages continuous deployment and agile principles to allow client applications to rapidly mature without breaking existing functionality in the process.
Starting out as Delphi and Lotus Notes consultants, later granted a patent for the linking of electronic documents to their printed (physical) counterparts. This formed the basis for the development of Central Station (CS) in Delphi on an Oracle database.
With an initial focus on Healthcare and Social Services, CS expands to being used by several Municipalities in the Netherlands as their chosen client-dossier platform. Thousands of active daily users rely on CS for its robustness and ease-of-use.
Moving with the times, for the transition from the Delphi fat-client based CS to a web-based/portal solution, a joint-venture was started between OBEC and Simac NV in 2018. This team aimed to use traditional full-stack development tools like PHP to create CS 2.0 for the web.
The introduction of Blazor by Microsoft — presenting completely new possibilities for building web-based applications — led to differences in opinion regarding the direction that the future development of CS should take. The original founder of OBEC decided, together with a team of developers, to realize this further development independently. The company SpiderIT and product SpiderWeb™ were born!
